About

The Mountain Historical Society of Mountain, Wisconsin was formed in 1999 to preserve the history of the area.


  • Log Home Museum

    The restoration of this log home, the first permanent home in Mountain, gave birth to the formation of the Mountain Historical Society in 1999. The structure is built of hand hewn log. The home was dismantled and rebuilt at its present site in Fireman's Park.

  • Green Lake Park & Pavilion

    The Green Lake Picnic Area includes picnic tables, grills, swimming beach, boat landing and a pavilion listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

  • Fireman's Park

    Come enjoy the home of our historic Iron Bridge which crosses a pond where children can enjoy a unique fishing experience. Located next to the historic Log Cabin and wayside park, this is a special place to stop and enjoy some of Mountain’s history.

Visit

The Historical Mountain Log Cabin and Bridge site is located at a wayside on southbound Highway 32 / State Trunk Highway 64, between Church Road (to the south) and Silver Hill Road (to the north). You can't miss it! The property is inside the Nicolet National Forest.

Hours

The Log Home Museum is open Saturdays 12:00pm to 3:00pm from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
